We are looking for someone to help take us forwards in the explosive and ever more ubiquitous world of video. We need someone who will work with our technical group to do concept development, creation of original art and wire-frame interaction models - and even some QA. You will be responsible for bringing the companies business vision to life and have the opportunity to grow with the business. Our last designer did a great job, but is now a full time mum, so no weird reporting structure or complicated work splits and you will have all the creative freedom that you can dream of!

We would like you to:

• be wildly creative with an eye for detail.
• be able to put yourself in the users' perspective to test your ideas.
• not be scared to work closely with techies to understand the limitations that systems sometimes present and to come up with innovative solutions that our code monkeys love as much as bananas.
• have experience with the latest design tools.
• be self-motivated, open-minded, a good communicator, a team player, comfortable with following direction and to be able to work to deadlines.
• have a portfolio of your visual design work with some emphasis on interactive media.

It would be a bonus if you:

• have some useful techie skills (like HTML/CSS)
• have some experience

We are looking for a passionate and creative technical person to join us full time and help make web video more accessible to the masses. Your tasks would involve extending and improving current services (performance profiling, ensuring quality of service, data integrity, etc...), as well as considering the next steps and how the product will look in the future. If you are mad about analysing data and want to find novel news ways of making sense and creating value from it, then this could well be the job for you. Your role in overall product development would also be very central, as we expand to other platforms with other forms of user interaction. Reporting directly to the CTO you will get all the freedom to prove your technical abilities and recognition is guaranteed in the form of being part of a small team with great vision.

We would like you to:

• hold a B.Sc/M.Sc in computer science or related field
• have some experience in website infrastructure development
• have extensive DB knowledge (academic and project related)
• be driven, passionate and care about the small details that lead to a quality product
• want to work in a fast paced environment
• be a strong collaborator, with good communication skills

It would be a bonus if you:

• have experience in web service development for large-scale web sites
• have interest in/knowledge of online video
• have worked with object relational mappers
• have experience with Python and Django

As a developer intern, your first focus will be to create addons for our video discovery platform - scripting to create great channels of online video - and work on the automated testing of the system. The addon system for mixd.tv will grow in complexity and provide a challenge for anyone who wants to make video consumption better and be part of the exciting startup world.

As a marketing intern, you will be expected to be part of the mixd.tv community, find great content and our most valued users. Your help to define future product features will reflect the end user and you will be expected to engage with the community through blogging and social networking.
